Position: Life Skills Coach
Wellness Through Living Society is seeking a Life Skills Coach who is accountable, professional, and participant-focused. The organization provides program curricula, resources, and administrative support, and welcomes constructive input and feedback on program delivery.

Job Duties
- Complete weekly participant reports and maintain accurate statistics, including daily participant sign-in sheets;
- Drive and maintain a safe vehicle, operating it in a courteous and responsible manner;
- Upon arrival at program sites, introduce yourself to facility staff on behalf of the organization and obtain relevant information about the facility and individuals you will be working with;
- Follow and respect all facility rules, policies, and procedures;
- Prepare and organize program rooms to ensure participants feel comfortable and welcomed;
- Deliver participant orientation at the start of each group;
- Review emergency procedures with participants;
- Wear professional yet comfortable clothing and footwear, as extended periods of standing may be required; and
- Participate in all organizational training as required.
Requirements
- Compliance with the organization’s Mission Statement, By-laws, Policy and Procedure Manuals, and overall expectations;
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Ability to work away from home during the week, as services are delivered throughout Southern Alberta;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (non-GDL) with a clean five-year driver’s abstract;
- Proof of $2 million vehicle liability insurance;
- Valid Life Skills Coach Certification;
- Knowledge of Blackfoot language and traditions is considered an asset; and
- First Aid certification is an asset.
Compensation
A competitive rate of pay is offered. Hours and wage will be discussed during the interview process.

Position: Liaison Coordinator
Wellness Through Living Society is seeking a Liaison Coordinator who is willing to travel throughout Southern Alberta and work with participants in an accountable, respectful, and professional manner. The organization provides program structure and resources and welcomes feedback to strengthen service delivery.

Job Duties
- Work with participants of varying ages and career stages to support life management, education, and employment goals;
- Collaborate with local employers to arrange mandatory 50-hour job placements for program participants;
- Work with colleges and universities to support participants interested in post-secondary education;
- Liaise with the justice system, courts, child and family services, and other community agencies as required;
- Conduct home visits when participants are not attending programming and provide professional support at court appearances when needed;
- Coordinate schedules, appointments, and bookings in collaboration with the Life Skills Coach;
- Complete weekly participant reports and maintain accurate statistics;

- Upon arrival at facilities, introduce yourself to staff on behalf of the organization and obtain relevant site information;

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Addictions, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (preferred);
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Ability to work away from home during the week, as services are delivered throughout Southern Alberta;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (non-GDL) with a clean five-year driver’s abstract;
- Proof of $2 million vehicle liability insurance;
- Knowledge of Blackfoot culture, language, and traditions (required); and
- First Aid certification is an asset.
