Marketing Skills for Fundraisers
Our organization is greatly indebted to The Serving Communities Internship Program (SCiP) This program brings together post-secondary students and Alberta’s nonprofit organizations by offering students a paid internship at a nonprofit in their community.
In addition to a $1000 award, each SCiP internship offers students a rewarding opportunity to gain skills, work experience, and network in the community. Furthermore, this program allows nonprofits, such as Wellness Through Living, to benefit from the talent and additional human capacity that students bring to the organizations they volunteer for.
Post secondary students interested in pursuing a SCiP internship should visit https://www.joinscip.ca/ to check out current opportunities!
At this point, there is a three step process that students will follow:
- Students register on the SCiP website, then search and apply for internships of interest for which they posses the relevant skill set.
- Students then work together with the nonprofit organization to meet the goals of the internship.
- When the internship’s goals are complete, students apply for and receive a $1000 award from the Government of Alberta.
