LeeAnne Sharp Adze
President, Board Member, Volunteer

“I have been a board member for 5 years and President 2 year and also volunteered. I wanted to be part of this Society, to help and advocate community members to make positive and safe choices in their lives. Wellness Through Living has a life skills program with a community kitchen that will be available to the community to take part in. A Life Skills program is much needed today; when I was young in my early adult years, I participated in a couple of Life skill training programs which were very beneficial to my life. I learned to budget, look at what choices I make have consequences/rewards, I learned to look for resources, to ask for help when needed, and have support groups or new friends to be there when needed and how to strive in life. I also learned some cooking skills that were in a group setting, which was more of networking and sharing information or connections to help me through out my life. I still have friends from the programs and continue to keep contact.

My vision as the President is to have community members from all walks of life to take these programs and become the best people they can be. I know Wellness Through Living will always be supportive and available to all those involved in the program from participants, family, youth, elders, immigrants, agencies and educational/employment services.

I know with the way the world is changing, people need some direction/ guidance to make their lives more positive and safe. If given the proper tools and resources to do so, they can strive in the economy!”
